„Aspiring to Become the Rapid Test for Rheumatoid Arthritis“

In Germany and many other industrialized countries, the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can only be made by a specialist, and obtaining a referral from a general practitioner unfortunately takes six to nine months. However, since the course of RA becomes irreversible after three months, speed in diagnosis plays an incredibly important role! Rheumatologists do fantastic work, but currently, there is a lack of a test that can detect rheumatism immediately after the first symptoms appear, in order to slow down or, in the best case, even stop the worsening of the disease progression until the appointment with the specialist. This is precisely the early detection methodology we are working on.
